4 Red lights on consoles mistaken for 3 red lights syndrome ...

Microsoft have been bombarded with calls and complaints about Xbox 360's after they apparently suffering from the 3 red lights issue ...

BUT it looks like some of them had no problem at all ... and that they have been returned as a misunderstanding , The 360 blinks with 3 red lights on the quadrant when there is a hardware failure ... However , all 4 quadrants blink red when the AV/component cable is pulled out of the console.

When the console seizes up and dies, three of the "circle of light's" quadrants blink red, but when the video cable pops out four of the quadrants blink. Apparently, a large number of consoles returned to Microsoft with the dreaded Red Ring of Death were perfectly fine and just the victim of a bit of red ring hysteria.

There have been so many returned that are completley fine that Microsoft are now planning to disable to 4 ring error cose on future console , They haven't said if they will be removing the 3 red light code aswell ...
