Argos repair policy sucks if you bring back a faulty 360 ...

**Puts on Kanye West - Stronger**

Ok just been reading about a warranty issue with Xbox 360 , Well , it brings me back to an issue we had on Wedneday , One of our employees at Argos (Colin) , Has a problem with his 360 where the symptoms were , he shut the DVD Drive and heard a clunk , it will now no longer read disks ...

SO , As with normal Argos returns policy , anything over 30 days that comes back faults get sent away to be repaired ...

NOW this is fine to start with BUT current Argos policy means that if we can't get the item repaired and ready for you to pick up within 16 days , we will replace the item ...

We were told on the phone (like everyone) the repair can take up to 25 working days ...

This brings me to the conclusion of why did my Manager still make me do a repair on the 360 instead of just changing it there and then , It's obviously not going to be back within the 16 day period so would it not be easier to replace the item there and then instead of making the customer wait 16 days , come back in , kick up a stink then you replace it anyways ...

This really seems pointless to me ...
