A new FCC Filing has revealed that there is a new PS3 Model ...
OK , so lets take a step back for 1 second and look at what the "Rumour" is ...
There is a rumour that has done the rounds all this week that although Sony are not dropping the price of it's 60GB Model in the UK , there will be a brand new 40GB model hitting our shores
for only £299 , Yes that is the same price as the 360 Elite ...
The 40Gb Model apparently will be a "Core" PS3 without Backwards Compatibility ...
So that's the rumour ...
The new model number is CECHG01 the FCC tested Bluetooth and WiFi , this is the interesting part ... The FCC only mention two USB Ports whereas the 60GB Model sports 4 ...
This could just be because they didn't test them OR it could be part of the hardware Cuts ...
Unfortunatley due to Sony requesting confidentiality the HDD Size isn't known ... THis would tell us if the 40Gb Rumour is indeed true or false ...
That would definatley but the PS3 in the ball park for Christmas in the UK
