Here's a few stats on Colin's Life ...
Colin was born in 1968 , He was the son of Jimmy McRae (5 time British Rally Champion)
Colin was the first Briton to become world champion in the Mid 80's
During a his 30-year career Colin notched up 25 wins
McRae helped Subaru to the Manufacturers' title three times in the 1990s and for Citroën in 2003.
Colin was awarded an MBE from the Queen for his Achievements
I would also like to add my own comments to this ...
I always used to watch the Rallying when McRae was racing , He gave 110% all the time whilst racing and you could see that in his racing and positioning of the car , It was pure class ...
Colin used to be able to win races due to talent , not practise ...
It's a sad loss of a great star , For all the times he put his life on the line in his rally car , it seems a bit of a freak tragedy that McRae lost his life in another hobby that he was great at
