Argos is gearing up for the New Cat Launch next Friday (27th) and so we have got the new Browsers in for the shop floor (I've had a sneak peak and it looks good
)I will be doing some extra hours on Saturday to get these ready for going out on the shop floor ...
Catalogues Catalogues Catalogues :::
If you have ever been into an Argos at Cat launch , you will have seen lots of palettes of Catalogues on the shop floor , It looks pretty BUT its a logistical nightmare !
Our store recieves at least 20 palettes of Catalogues ready for cat launch , And this becomes a problem , We are one of the biggest Argos stores out there and because of this we need a lot of Catalogues but where do we put them ?
Well , To start with , they cant be put out the back as it's a security risk (Competitors can come and break open a palette and see all the new prices and adjust theirs accordingly)
We cant put them on the shop floor until a couple of days before they release ( Due to the same fact and everyone always asking for them becomes a PITA)
So that leaves us the alternative of having then sat in the warehouse ... And this is a problem ...
If we leave them in the warehouse that takes up one of the Aisles we put the delivery in (Delivery comes in Cages and get put in aisle 7 and 15) , This then means we can only hold 1 and a half deliveries so we lose our optimum put away within the store ...
As I said its a logistical nightmare , and it's all happening next week , Cant wait
